Well, before I start, may I suggest reading a post within this forum that asks the same question. That question, I think, is one of the most commonly-asked questions among the Sim forums, and I'm not surprised myself. There's just so much going on in an expansion pack. Try checking out: simsone.proboards106.com/index.cgi?board=sims&action=display&thread=1182467818&page=1But if you want a simpler explanation, I'll give you key words. Livin' Large: more stuff, more jobs House party: Even more stuff, PARTIES!!! Hot Date: relationships, Downtown area (a great shopping and entertainment destination!) Vacation: (pretty much self-explanatory) Unleashed: pets, more home lots per neighborhood Superstar: Hollywood-themed, luxury Makin' Magic: magic, carnival If I am to suggest expansion packs, I say get Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date and another expansion pack after Hot Date (I have Unleashed, most people have Vacation, and some people simply get them all). Oh, and any Sims 1 game that has the word Deluxe in it already includes the base game (The Sims) already.. It might help if you introduced yourself formally, too. That way, you can get to know some of the people in this forum, and maybe get even more info regarding the expansion packs.

That's a good explanation. I would add that you can get all the expansions at once in The Complete Collection for under $40 US.
